Fun Facts
The song is the last part of the famous dream sequence of Awara. The dream sequence is composed of three segments representing Earth, Hell, and Heaven. The song is in the third segment, Heaven.
The dream sequence reportedly took three months to film. It was the first dream sequence to be filmed in Hindi cinema and it spawned numerous dream sequences in future films.
Years later, the song was played in the movie, Yeh Vaada Raaha, when Vikram (Rishi Kapoor) went looking for Sunita (Poonam Dhillon). Sunita was doing housework and listening to the song on her gramophone player when Vickram came knocking at her door.
